FM is dedicated to providing students with a quality education in an environment that nurtures success. With over 40 degree and certificate programs, FMCC offers small classes, individualized attention, and many diverse programs. Centered around a picturesque campus quad, campus facilities include a Student Union Building, The Evans Library, Communications and Media Arts Building, a Physical Education Building, which houses a state-of-the art Wellness Center, a Classroom Building and an Administration Building. As a part of the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association), FM offers Division III sports in men’s and women’s basketball and soccer, baseball, softball and volleyball. Many FM athletic teams have been nationally ranked by the NJCAA in several areas. Students interested in becoming involved in campus activities and clubs are able to choose from over 30 on-campus clubs and organizations. Nearly 100 international students attend FM, representing 25 countries.

FMCC’s diverse student body brings together students from Fulton, Montgomery, and adjacent counties as well as Metropolitan New York City and twenty countries on five continents.

Fulton-Montgomery Community College provides accessible higher education and quality programs with a focus on student success.

FM partners with the community through engagement in economic development and by providing cultural and intellectual opportunities.

FM works closely with SUNY and private colleges and universities to ensure widely-accepted transferability.

FM offers excellent academic programs, personalized guidance, and extensive resources to support student success. Small class sizes mean individual attention and the opportunity to know your professors and fellow students.

FMCC wishes to assure all citizens and visitors that they are welcome. FM will work to insure that all are safe to express their ideas, practice their faith, form relationships with whomever is agreeable and contribute positively to our campus community.

Post-study work information

Optional Practical Training (OPT). OPT and STEM OPT eligibility depend on maintaining F-1 status and on the program. A program counts as STEM only when its CIP code is on the official STEM list — not because its name sounds technical. Eligibility is checked for each program — see the program page.
