About North Island College

North Island College is a comprehensive community college that focuses on student success. NIC proudly serves more than 9,000 students annually at four campuses, a learning centre and through online and in-community learning. NIC is distinguished by their commitment to student success through strong partnership agreements with universities and colleges across BC, the US and around the world. NIC has been internationally recognized for its technology-enabled distance learning and responsive in-community programs.

The Campbell River campus is located at 1685 South Dogwood St. and shares its location with Timberline Secondary. The shared location helps to ease the transition for students as they move from high school into post-secondary. It also provides opportunities for high school students to begin their Trades careers while still in high school, through the Youth Train in Trades program. The Campbell River campus is also home to the Third Course Bistro and the Centre for Applied Research, Technology and Innovation (CARTI).

Why choose North Island College

Campus Life and Surroundings

The Campbell River campus is located in Campbell River, on British Columbia's Vancouver Island. The campus has undergone a $17.6-million expansion project which will feature six inter-connected educational neighbourhoods radiating from a vibrant Student Commons housing an array of services for students. Designed to enhance student learning and exchange, these neighbourhoods will give every student a place to call home within a cluster of related programs.

Experienced Faculty

Post-study work information

Graduating from a designated learning institution does not automatically make a student eligible for a PGWP; not every program at a DLI qualifies, and eligibility can depend on the program, language results, field of study and other requirements.
