Why choose Grace Christian School

Location

GCS is located in the heart of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. PEI is the smallest province on Canada’s east coast. Known for its coastal beauty, unlimited beaches, small yet growing diverse population, and as the birthplace of Canadian confederation, PEI is a welcoming place to study and be immersed in maritime Canadian culture. The capital city, Charlottetown, contains big city amenities, a vibrant waterfront, and a historic cultural atmosphere in a safe, clean, and family-focused community.

Academic Excellence

Grace Christian School has established strong roots in the global educational landscape over the past 40+ years. In cultivating a holistic educational approach, high school students flourish through Leadership Development, Community Service, High Performance Training, Jazz Band, Biblical Discipleship, Interscholastic Athletics, Biology Excursions, Robotic Competitions, AP/SAT Preparation, Student Government, Duke of Edinburgh, Yearbook, Intramurals, Civics, and Global Educational Excursions. Students also benefit from individualized university preparatory counseling. The high caliber programming at GCS leads to graduates frequently being recruited from premiere universities in addition to the presentation of prestigious awards, bursaries, and scholarships annually. Over the past 5 years, graduates have earned over $1 million in scholarships, including two offers for the LORAN and Schulich award foundations.

International Studies Program

Grace Christian School’s premiere International Studies program not only supplies their international students with the most intense and individualized English Second Language program on Prince Edward Island, it also enhances their educational experience with cultural integration and spiritual formation that will open doors to Canada and beyond. International students are quickly immersed in the GCS culture, forming friendships and participating in extracurricular activities. The school’s International Student HomeStay Program provides students with a safe, supportive home environment and an extension of the GCS family.

Faith in Action

GCS strives for excellence in faith, virtue, and knowledge by teaching a curriculum that integrates Christian perspectives into all aspects of school life. GCS believes that strong academic outcomes need to be coupled with access to serve and build relationships, as well as opportunities that develop students as compassionate, pro-active leaders with integrity and moral strength. Through Christian ethics classes, weekly chapel services, class service projects, global service missions, and project-based learning activities, Christian life and values are presented in a relevant context to assist students in developing a solid foundation for their faith.

Graduating from a designated learning institution does not automatically make a student eligible for a PGWP; not every program at a DLI qualifies, and eligibility can depend on the program, language results, field of study and other requirements.
