About Halton District School Board (HDSB)

Halton is centrally located between Toronto and Niagara Falls and the communities are consistently ranked as some of the best places in Canada to live and work. The region is one of the fastest-growing regions in Canada because of the perfect balance of big-city amenities and small-town charm. Halton District School Board is proud to say that all its communities are safe and diverse. Halton offers first-class education that supports all students regardless of where they come from, what languages they speak, and what career path they want to follow. The teachers work hard to customize lessons and course content to match individual student’s learning styles and previous learning. There is a wide variety of course types and levels that help students move towards their goals for post-secondary education and future careers. All teachers are certified and must follow the high standards set by the Ontario government.

Abbey Park High School (APHS) is located in northwest Oakville's Glen Abbey neighborhood. The school is situated beside a community recreation facility that offers a swimming pool, skating rink, and library. Abbey Park encourages and fosters a diverse community of nearly 1000 students along their educational journey. The school offers programming for Grades 9 through 12.

Post-study work information

Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). Graduating from a designated learning institution does not automatically make a student eligible for a PGWP; not every program at a DLI qualifies, and eligibility can depend on the program, language results, field of study and other requirements. Eligibility is checked for each program — see the program page.
