Founded in 1969, Hansa Language Centre is one of the largest and most established language schools in Canada. Hansa offers a huge variety of English classes, a flexible schedule, and a long list of trips, excursions, sports, and social activities. It also offers teacher training programs as well as a number of foreign language programs for Canadians, such as French, Spanish, German, and Mandarin.
ESL students can study more than twenty different subjects at twelve levels, from absolute beginner with no English language skills to extremely advanced level classes that prepare students for TOEFL and IELTS exams. At Hansa, students are placed in classes perfect for their needs, but the flexible schedule allows them to raise or lower their level or change subjects simply by discussing it with a student counsellor.
Hansa's counsellors will help students with their university or visa applications, with accommodation, with choosing the right level and subjects for their study program, and with just about anything else.
Enjoy learning languages at Hansa Language Centre, Canada's leading language school.
Here are some of the many reasons students choose Hansa Language Centre:
Hansa's participating academic partner institutions accept Hansa’s Test of English Proficiency (TEP) and offer students admission to most of their programs without further language examinations. To fulfill the requirements of Hansa’s Academic Pathways, students must complete a minimum of 240 hours in the (EAP) Academic Preparation Program, score 80% or more on Hansa’s TEP, and meet the entrance requirements of the partner institution. Hansa's partner institutions include:
students can study what they need with Hansa's Flexible Learning System
Hansa students consistently outscore other language students on TOEFL, TOEIC and IELTS exams
both campuses are conveniently located in midtown Toronto, steps from Eglinton subway station
Hansa is recognized by Languages Canada, therefore our students are eligible for student visa authorization

Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). Graduating from a designated learning institution does not automatically make a student eligible for a PGWP; not every program at a DLI qualifies, and eligibility can depend on the program, language results, field of study and other requirements. Eligibility is checked for each program — see the program page.
