About Fredericton Christian Academy

Fredericton Christian Academy (FCA) is an independent Christian university preparatory K-12 school in Fredericton, New Brunswick. FCA also offers International (full-year, short-term ESL) programming, and is approved by the New Brunswick Department of Education. FCA is founded on the belief that young men and women thrive in a safe, nurturing and rigorous learning environment, where they are encouraged to confidently think, express themselves and ask critical questions. FCA offers a unique university preparation program where faculty doors are always open, and students are part of a larger school “family”. FCA is committed to fostering the intellectual, physical, social, spiritual and creative potential of students through a supportive and challenging community.

Choosing the right school for a child can be a difficult decision. School life plays an important role in how children develop and in who they become. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.” FCA believes that laying a strong foundation, through academics and extra-curricular activities based on Biblical standards, helps children grow to become men and women, of strong character, who impact the world around them in a positive manner.

Fredericton Christian Academy is a private Christian community of excellence that exists to challenge students to grow in knowledge, skill, character, leadership and courage to dynamically impact their world for Christ. FCA encourages participation in a variety of activities that help prepare students for life’s challenges. Athletics and other extra-curricular programs are also important to a student’s total educational experience.

FCA believes the Christian School is an extension of the Christian home in training young people in the Christian environment. The school offers classes for students from Kindergarten through grade 12 using the A Beka Christian curriculum that is integrated with the New Brunswick Department of Education programs.

Post-study work information

Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). Graduating from a designated learning institution does not automatically make a student eligible for a PGWP; not every program at a DLI qualifies, and eligibility can depend on the program, language results, field of study and other requirements. Eligibility is checked for each program — see the program page.
