About BLI Canada

Is there a better way to learn a language than to live it? BLI doesn’t think so. That is the reason why all of its English and French course have been designed to meet students’ needs and interests, and are based on a dynamic and communicative approach that will not only help the students become proficient in a language, but also will give them the tools to succeed at a global level. BLI makes linguistic knowledge relevant to a student's life in a variety of beneficial aspects beyond their imagination. Expanding options and maximizing success is what BLI aims for.

BLI takes the language learning process outside the classroom, by offering the students a wide variety of fun and interesting activities and a quality Homestay program that will allow the students to take their learning experience to another level, learning in the real world. Another aspect of a BLI learning experience is tailoring and customization of programs that will help the students learn around their personal interests, in a friendly environment, with the opportunity to engage with fellow BLI students from all over the world.

For more than forty years, BLI has helped thousands of students from all over the world to fulfill their dreams and to become global citizens. BLI educators, administrators, and coordinators are looking forward to welcoming students at one of the schools and to be at their side in this great life experience: “learning a language abroad”.

Why choose BLI Canada

Location

Montreal is the second-largest French-speaking city in the world after Paris. It is a bilingual city. There are neighbourhoods where English is the predominant language and others where French is more widely spoken, but the majority of the population speaks two languages. It is impressive to see how people switch from one language to another. If a student wants to learn English or French in a multicultural environment, Montreal is the place to do it.

Facilities

BLI Canada's modern facilities offer students a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere that makes the learning progress very enjoyable and fun. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, 30 classrooms, 1 computer lab, 3 kitchens, and 2 student lounges.

After school activities

BLI Canada's activity program varies from season to season and includes activities like skating, rollerblading, conversation clubs, karaoke nights, movie nights, student parties, biking, rafting, visiting museums, going to concerts, and much more. Some activities are free and others have a cost that will depend on the type of activity.

Small classes

BLI Canada's small classes allow students to build relationships and gives them the opportunity to practice the language continuously.

Post-study work information

Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). Graduating from a designated learning institution does not automatically make a student eligible for a PGWP; not every program at a DLI qualifies, and eligibility can depend on the program, language results, field of study and other requirements. Eligibility is checked for each program — see the program page.
