Coursework and a whole array of student resources help undergraduate students develop the communication, presentation, and analytical skills required by contemporary managers. More specific, professional development is available through various student activities as well as the career services offered by the College of Management. Students in the BSM program are required to participate in the Management Achievement Program (MAP), a co-curricular program designed to prepare students for their role as management professionals. As part of its program to maintain accreditation with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the College of Management faculty has formally adopted learning objectives for each of its degree programs and periodically conducts assessments for each learning objective to identify opportunities for curriculum improvement. The learning objectives for the bachelor of science in management (BSM) program are for students to: Demonstrate professionalism through oral and written communication skills. Develop critical thinking skills. Demonstrate sound ethical reasoning skills. Integrate understanding of issues concerning diversity and globalization in business management.
