Overview

With a combined Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Management (B.A./B.Mgt.) or a Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Management (B.Sc./B.Mgt.) degree, students can explore a multitude of interests and careers. For example, for candidates who are interested in managing an art gallery, they can major in art and general management. For those who are interested in sports marketing, they can major in kinesiology and marketing. The Combined B.A./B.Mgt. or B.Sc./B.Mgt. degree program takes five years (50 courses) to complete and leads to the conferral of two degrees. Psychology delves into what makes people tick. Psychologists study the relationship between mind and behavior by investigating the nature of thought processes and behaviors in humans and other animals. Psychologists also study the evolutionary, social and cultural factors affecting the development of human thoughts and behaviors, focusing on topics that have a direct bearing on people's day-to-day experience. A major in Psychology will help students develop skills in analyzing and interpreting complex material, particularly as it relates to behavior. They will learn theories of how people interpret the world and act in it, as well as theories of human behavior. Psychology students will learn from those at the forefront of psychological research. The faculty members are regularly published in the top journals and make an ongoing contribution to an ever-advancing field. Students will inevitably become savvy and critical consumers of evidence-based information related to people’s behavior such as self-help, psychological and medical advice. Accountants are central to the operations and strategies of all types of organizations as well as the foundation of short- and long-term success. Accountants provide business and financial advice by measuring, analyzing, forecasting and reporting organizational performance, resources and risk. Students are required to have integrity and the ability to think critically, communicate, and interact with others effectively. Accounting students gain technical skills and learn how to address a broad range of business problems. They will acquire and practice the skills needed for success, including writing and presenting, using professional tools and case analyses. Students study financial reporting, individual and corporate taxation, business analytics and information systems, auditing, management control systems and costing, as well as variety of other management disciplines.
