Overview

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre for the University of Huddersfield followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Huddersfield. In your international foundation year, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program. The International Foundation Year in Business, Management and Law will provide you with the skills and tools necessary to succeed in career fields such as finance, accounting, marketing and law. During your time in the Foundation Year, you will study core subjects, as well as optional subjects intentionally designed for your chosen field of study. All of these skills will be key for future academic success at the University of Huddersfield. Our Law and Practice LLB(Hons) course prepares you for an exciting career in legal practice, with special emphasis on getting you ready to take the new Solicitor’s Qualifying Exams (SQE1). Whether your aim is to become a solicitor or to work in industry, this course will ensure you stand out. This course is designed to develop your skills in advocacy, legal drafting, and legal research, allowing you to develop competences which are required to be a solicitor. You’ll also gain a host of transferrable skills, such as: how to construct an argument how to communicate with clients attention to detail the ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
