Previous cohorts have undertaken placements with organisations such as Leicester Tigers RFC, Aston Villa FC, Sheffield United FC, Derventio eXcel Elite Swimming, and the University of Derby Human Performance Unit. The programme develops the ability to demonstrate knowledge of the roles, responsibilities, and limits of applied sport and exercise practice, evidence practical understanding of research and theory implications, show comprehensive knowledge of current theories and contemporary issues, and demonstrate advanced critical awareness in a focused area of applied sport and exercise science.
