Overview

The International Marketing programme at Derby allows students to top-up existing HND or Diploma level qualifications to a full honours degree, enhancing career progression. In one year of full-time study, students acquire a highly regarded degree that prepares them for management roles in marketing, communications, and business development. The programme emphasises marketing on an international scale, equipping students with the skills, confidence, and creativity required to shape organisational marketing strategies and develop customer-led approaches to business opportunities. Live projects with real organisations offer practical experience in exploring marketing on a global level. Students benefit from masterclasses and guest lectures delivered by industry professionals and influential thinkers, as well as strong links with regional marketing and communication agencies and international partners, which help expand expertise and professional networks. The annual Make Your Mark event provides further opportunities to build industry connections. The teaching team consists of academics with extensive experience in marketing across a broad range of organisations, supported by a strong network of industry contacts. The team includes influential researchers contributing insights into areas such as customer behaviour and market sensing.
