Overview

The MSc Civil Engineering degree will develop students' engineering expertise in line with the ever-changing demands of the profession. Students will enhance their knowledge in all the essential areas, from geotechnical, structural, and transportation engineering to design and construction management. Students will make sure their research skills are sharp enough to give them a competitive edge when they embark on their career. The campus location in the heart of London's Docklands will allow students to see up close the challenges and opportunities for the next generation of engineers, such as intensive urbanisation and major economic regeneration. This civil engineering degree is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM) comprising the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Institution of Structural Engineers, the Institute of Highway Engineers, the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation, and the Permanent Way Institution on behalf of the Engineering Council as meeting the requirements for Further Learning for a Chartered Engineer (CEng) for candidates who have already acquired a partial CEng accredited undergraduate first degree.
