Overview

Program Description The basic medical sciences major offers students all the science they need to enter medical school or other health science schools, while giving them the flexibility to pursue their own particular interests and even study abroad. This major is a good choice for pre-health students who have diverse interests. Students in the program work closely with their academic advisor to develop a coherent course of study that includes preparation for professional school. Supplemental Pre-Professional tracks are available for students interested in pursuing further professional education. If there is interest in one of these tracks in addition to the degree, please let the recruiter know. Verify before applying

OPT and STEM OPT eligibility depend on maintaining F-1 status and on the program. A program counts as STEM only when its CIP code is on the official STEM list — not because its name sounds technical.
