Overview

Students will start by studying the basics: cellular processes at the molecular level, and how cells work together to promote growth or fight illness. They will learn about experimental disciplines that use chemical knowledge to solve biological problems. Forge relationships with faculty mentors who want to see them succeed, and take advantage of opportunities to work in their labs. Students will have the chance to conduct graduate-level research as an undergraduate, present their findings at conferences and submit their work for publication.

Optional Practical Training (OPT)
Verify before applying

OPT and STEM OPT eligibility depend on maintaining F-1 status and on the program. A program counts as STEM only when its CIP code is on the official STEM list — not because its name sounds technical.
