Overview

As a Management major, students will learn how to manage people and processes in different kinds of work settings — including teams distributed geographically. They will get a solid foundation in essential business concepts such as accounting, finance, marketing and economics. Students will also learn how to create healthy work relationships and positive environments where employees (and organizations) flourish. Austin is one of the country’s fastest-growing cities and economies, students will be able to choose from a wide range of internships. Plus, The Bill Munday School of Business partners with local organizations like Capital Factory and Impact Hub Austin that will help build their network. Associate at Austin-based venture-capitalism firm Falkon Ventures. Assistant general manager (leading a team of 85) for Marriott International. Business development manager for Axiom. Team lead for Indeed. Founder of a delivery startup.

OPT and STEM OPT eligibility depend on maintaining F-1 status and on the program. A program counts as STEM only when its CIP code is on the official STEM list — not because its name sounds technical.
