Overview

The brand new Diploma of Information Technology (Higher Education) is an innovative program designed for those eager to advance their studies and careers in the field of Information Technology. This diploma features a two-stage progression for students. Throughout both stages, they benefit from small class sizes and additional support for English language learners, creating a nurturing learning environment. In the first stage, students dive into foundational courses that introduce them to key information technology concepts and the latest industry technologies. They explore the digital revolution and learn about web security while also developing problem-solving skills specific to the IT sector. Moving into the second stage, students engage with subjects like software development, cloud and enterprise computing, and big data analysis. This stage equips them with essential skills that are highly sought after by employers today. Upon completing the second stage, graduates have the opportunity to continue their education at Federation University, seamlessly transitioning into the second year of a Bachelor of Information Technology program. This pathway allows them to earn both the Bachelor’s and Diploma (Higher Education) degrees, enhancing their qualifications for a successful career in IT.
