Overview

The Biomedical Sciences program provides a high level of flexibility, granting individuals the freedom to shape their academic experience. The degree title can be adjusted until the final year, allowing students to either continue with BSc Biomedical Sciences or switch to another bioscience course offered by the institution. Additionally, students have the option to graduate with a more specialized degree title, such as BSc Biomedical Sciences (Anatomy) or BSc Biomedical Sciences (Physiology). The specific degree title attained will depend on the modules chosen, and the Personal Tutor will assist students in navigating the available options. There is also the possibility of transitioning to the four-year MBiomed integrated master's degree, which provides a solid foundation for future careers in scientific research. The Biomedical Sciences degree offered by this program offers comprehensive training for research scientists. Graduates have pursued various rewarding careers in scientific and non-scientific fields, including scientific publishing, medical research, healthcare, toxicology, pathological science, journalism, medicine, teaching, and veterinary science. Furthermore, many graduates choose to further their education by pursuing a master's degree or PhD.
